California Air Resource Board

With the enactment of the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, otherwise known as AB 32), the California Air Resource Board (ARB) adopted a regulation requiring the mandatory reporting and verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/2007/ghg2007/frofinoal.pdf ). 

Facilities subject to mandatory reporting are required to have their GHG emissions verified beginning in 2010 for their 2009 emissions, and will be subject to either annual or triennial verification.

TÜV SÜD America Inc. is an ARB accredited verification body for the purposes of mandatory GHG reporting.  TÜV SÜD's verification team is also accredited to provide sector specific verification services to retail providers, marketers, operators of petroleum refineries, and operators of hydrogen plants.
